HEMS Inc. is a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization make up of stakeholders in the Southeastern Michigan Emergency Medical Service community.

Working together with hospitals local and county government EMS services, education and industry has created a world-class emergency care system for the citizens of Western and Downriver Wayne County.

HEMS serves as the medical control authority of Western and Downriver Wayne County.  HEMS is also the Fiduciary of the Region 2 North, Region 2 South and Region 8 Healthcare Coalitions helping to assure the safety of our citizens.
